As I lie awake in bed I hear a train's whistle I stop to think... I wonder where it is headed. I close my eyes to sleep and a vision appears before me. It is an old dining car Happy people walking about Chatting and laughing On their way to a better place. I see the conductor A silent scream on his face As the bridge looms nearer and as the train swerves out of control In the dining car the people become nervous In the engine the conductor prays his lips moving to the rhythm of the wheels As they spin off the track People screaming Dishes crashing I reach out for your hand But you are not there. I must go alone I look out the window And see the water, coming closer with every second And still you are not by my side. There is a long silence Blackness And then I am alone forever.
